Microdosing L-theanine has been beneficial for my back pain caused by stress. Initially, I took it before bed, which didn’t help my sleep. I later found that taking one capsule in the morning and another in the evening, with green tea, promotes relaxation without causing drowsiness. The effect is reminiscent of MDMA microdosing; I feel a pleasant lightness and muscle relaxation. However, I advise against using it with alcohol as it can enhance intoxication.

I took this product to manage stress and found it also helped with my back pain and sleep. I appreciate that it doesn’t leave me feeling drowsy in the mornings, making it a great addition to my routine for alleviating discomfort.
I typically use L-theanine to manage anxiety attacks and improve sleep. However, this NOW brand didn’t produce any effect for me, unlike Thorne's, which I prefer. This supplement did not help with my back pain at all, and I regret this choice.
I experienced terrible jaw pain after using this product for three days.
